CJC-1295 with DAC is a synthetic analogue of growth hormone releasing factor, modified in two ways. Four amino acid substitutions make it resistant to enzymatic degradation, and a maleimidopropionic acid drug affinity complex (the DAC) binds it to circulating albumin. The substitutions alone give the plain CJC-1295; the DAC is what extends its presence in circulation well beyond that of the unmodified peptide, and it is the reason this variant is handled differently from the DAC-free form in laboratory work.
The peptide is supplied as a lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder in a single 2 mg vial. The dry format keeps the peptide stable through storage and transport and allows the researcher to dissolve it in the solvent and at the concentration their own protocol specifies.
