Full description
Epithalon (also written Epitalon) is a synthetic tetrapeptide of four amino acids: alanine, glutamic acid, aspartic acid and glycine. The sequence was derived from the pineal peptide preparation epithalamin, and the short synthetic form is what is normally used in laboratory work because it is stable, well characterised and reproducible from batch to batch.
The peptide is supplied as a lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder in a single 10 mg vial. The dry format keeps the peptide stable through storage and transport, and allows the researcher to dissolve it in the solvent and at the concentration their own protocol specifies.
