Proviron is developed by the drug firm Bayer and is generally used to treat various types of sexual dysfunction and used to increase the sperm count for clinical use. Proviron is similar to the anabolic steroid Masteron. Proviron has an unique ability to keep the body from turning testosterone into estrogen but is not an ideal compound for building muscle. It gives the testosterone a better anabolic effect and helps reduce estrogenic side effects of other steroids water retention, lowered sex drive, gynecomastia and boost the potency of testosterone in the body.
