What is Klomen 50 mg 10 Tablets Kocak Pharma?

Formula:
Each tablet; Contains 50 mg Clomiphene citrate.
Pharmacological properties:
Indications:
Klomen;
1- Anovular hypothalamus-pituitary-ovarian axis is normal in infertile women
* Ovulation provision
* Correction of luteal phase dysfunction
2- In vitro fertilization
* Multiple follicle development
3- Oligospermic Infertile men (primary, hypothalamus, pituitary and testicular deficiency) is used to increase the number of sperm.
Contraindications:
Clomiphene treatment is contraindicated in the following cases:
1- Hypersensitivity to clomiphene citrate,
2- Pregnancy: It should not be used during pregnancy or in cases where pregnancy is suspected. If pregnancy occurs, treatment should be discontinued.
3- Non-controlled thyroid and adrenal dysfunctions,
4- Intracranial lesions, such as pituitary tumor,
5- People with a history of liver disease or liver disorders,
6- Untypical abnormal uterine bleeding,
7- Ovarian cyst or growth (except polycystic ovary)
Warnings / Precautions:
Visual Symptoms: Patients should be warned in this respect because the symptoms related to vision blur or other visual disturbances may occur during clomiphene treatment, and treatment should be stopped and complete eye examination should be performed if such symptoms develop.
Ovarian Hypersitumulation Syndrome (OHSS): It has been reported that it is rarely seen during clomiphene treatment.
Early findings of OHSS; Symptoms such as severe abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and sometimes serious overgrowth can cause serious disorders such as dyspnea, oliguria, hypovolemia, acid, pleural effusion.
Therefore, patients with this type of complaints should be closely monitored.
Clomiphene Therapy: Complete pelvic examination should be performed before starting the treatment, such as ovarian cyst, endometrial cancer should be excluded and the examination should be repeated before each cure. Ovarian cyst patients should not use, as they may cause the ovary to grow. In order to prevent abnormal ovarian enlargement that may develop during clomiphene treatment, treatment should be started with the lowest dose at which the response can be obtained.
If ovarian enlargement occurs during treatment, treatment should be discontinued until the ovaries return to normal. Growth during treatment and cysts spontaneously regress within a few days or weeks after cessation of treatment.
Laparoscopy should be avoided unless there is a strong indication.
Multiple Pregnancy: It has been reported that 90% single and 10% twin pregnancies may occur during clomiphene treatment.
Triplets or more pregnancy rates are less than 1%. This should be explained to the patient and her husband before starting the treatment.
Use in Pregnancy: Should not be used during pregnancy.
Side effects / Advers effects:
Side effects that can be observed at recommended doses are insignificant and rarely affect treatment. Long-term high-dose administration may increase side effects.
The most common side effects include vasomotor flushing, restlessness in the abdomen, abnormal uterine bleeding, ovarian hypertrophy, tautness and fullness in the breasts, and blur in vision.
Also rarely; Nausea, vomiting, tension, sleep disturbance, dizziness, polyuria, urticaria can be seen.
Drug interactions:
Clomiphene may be used in combination with other gonadotropic drugs.

Usage and dosage:
In women: The recommended dose for the first course is 50 mg per day for 5 days (1 tablet). In patients with a hemorrhage or spontaneous menstrual bleeding with progestin use, treatment is started on the 5th day of the cycle and 50 mg is given daily and continued for 5 days. In patients without menstrual bleeding, treatment can be started any day. At this dose
If ovulation is provided, there is no need to increase the dose. If ovulation is not achieved, the dose is increased to 100 mg in the second cycle after 30 days. The maximum daily dose is 250 mg. If the ovulation cannot be achieved at the end of 3-6 cycles, the treatment is discontinued.
In males: The daily dose is 25-50 mg and used for 25 days and 5 days break. In this way, treatment should be continued for at least 6 months.
