Overview
DSIP (Delta Sleep-Inducing Peptide) is a naturally occurring peptide known to enhance Delta wave activity, which is associated with deep sleep. It is present in human breast milk and is utilized to address conditions such as insomnia, narcolepsy, seizures, and withdrawal symptoms from opioids and alcohol. Additionally, DSIP helps alleviate stress, anxiety, and depression. It is available in a formulation of 5mg per vial, containing Delta Sleep-Inducing Peptide along with inactive ingredients.
Mechanism of Action
Research suggests that DSIP decreases the nighttime activity of the enzyme NAT (N-acetyltransferase) and may play a role in regulating adrenergic signaling. Furthermore, DSIP acts as an opiate receptor antagonist, making it effective in managing withdrawal symptoms associated with alcohol and opioids.
Dosage
The recommended dosage is 0.1ml administered subcutaneously before bedtime.
Side Effects
Common side effects include headaches, nausea, fatigue, and dizziness.
Interactions
DSIP may interact with medications such as dexamethasone and synthetic hormones.
